“The JLC-Tech block diffuser lens was preferred aesthetically for its small envelope and smooth optics.  Recess depth above the ceiling being an issue, the integration to the acoustic ceiling height was ideal.  Once the pricing logistics were reviewed and clarified between electrical and ceiling trades the fixture acquisition proceeded smoothly.   Onsite installers claimed it to be straight forward to install.  SBLD is very happy with the clean lines and patterns of the installation at Leidos Headquarters.”

“Leidos’ workplace was designed around one of its five brand attributes – pragmatic.  Each of Leidos’ brand attributes has both a color, and shape associated with them.  For pragmatic, the shape was linear, so it was important to find a modern, timeless linear light to include in the project.  Wayfinding in the workplace was another important feature.  To identify the hoteling workstations, they included ultraviolet glass divider, and the lighting rotated at these locations to follow the direction of that.  It was important for people to be able to look through the open workplace and easily.  During construction, the ease of install helped to complete this large scale project in time.”
